GPS Data on a Google Map

While exploring some backcountry locations with a GPS, friends were stuck on how to easily share points and tracks with each other once they returned home. To help with this, evansharpdesign created a tool built on the 3rd generation Google Maps API to allow the quick and simple display and sharing of data from a number of sources. By dragging a data file in GPX, KML, or KMZ format onto the map, the data is immediately rendered on a Google Terrain map. Sharing this map by social media or email is as easy as clicking a button and sharing the generated URL. The tool is provided for free so long as page hits don't incur costs from Google (25 000 renders / day).
